Practice Nurse

 We currently have a vacancy for an experienced and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our Nursing Team.  You should be competent in core duties such as general treatment room skills, including immunisations and cervical screening and ideally have experience of chronic disease management (COPD/asthma/diabetes) although the opportunity for further training could be arranged for the successful candidate. We are also looking for a part-time receptionist to join our busy team. The hours will be Monday 8am to 2pm, Thursday 8am to 2pm and Friday 8am to 2pm with additional sickness and holiday cover when required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be hardworking, reliable and able to work on their own initiative, as well as a team player. Please note that these times vary slightly to the doctors actual surgery times which are tabled on the next tab. You are free to come in to the practice and speak directly to one of the reception staff whenever the front doors are open.

When the main surgery telephone number is closed between 13.30 - 14.30pm; after 14.00pm on a Wednesday or after 18.30pm on other weekdays, there is an emergency telephone service through which you can access Out of Hours medical care.
