Repeat Prescriptions
You can request your repeat medications in the following ways;
If requesting a repeat prescription in person, please use the order slip attached to your previous prescription and give us a minimum of 48 hours notice. To avoid confusion, we do not take orders for repeat scripts over the phone.
Please try to ensure that you request your repeat prescription with plenty of time, allowing at least 48 working hours. Do not leave it until the last minute or until you have run out - it places the practice staff under unnecessary pressure and does not make the best use of clinicians time.

Similarly it is worth noting that local Pharmacists do not always keep all medications in stock, particularly the more expensive items. It may take several days for them to order specific items for you and you should take this in to account when ordering your repeat medications.
Have you registered for the new Electronic Prescription Service?
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS service. It gives you the chance to change how your GP sends your prescription to the place you choose to get your medicines or appliances from.
If you normally collect your repeat prescription from the surgery, you won't have to come to us to collect the paper copy any more, we can simply transmit it electronically to the Pharmacy of your choice, saving you time. You can choose to nominate any pharmacy, not one that is necessarily close to the practice, perhaps one that is close to where you work or shop may be more convenient. As your prescription is transmitted electronically to the Pharmacy, your items should be ready to collect when you arrive.
If you would like to find out more about this service and nominate a Pharmacy to use for this service, please download and print the Patient Nomination Request form here. Once completed this should be taken to the Pharmacy of your choice who will register you for EPS and send us an electronic message to let us know that they are your nominated pharmacy.
Paper copies of the form can also be collected from Reception.
