Claremont Medical Centre is a training practice for GP registrars.
A GP registrar is a fully qualified, experienced doctor who is completing a further 3 years specialist training in order to become a GP.
GP registrars will work as part of the practice team and have daily surgeries (often with longer appointment times), undertake home visits and help with on call doctor duties. Their placements with us vary in length, depending on their stage of training, from 4 months to over 12 months. They are supervised and assessed on a regular basis.
Patients may, on occasion, be asked whether they mind having their consultation videoed “video consultation” for assessment purposes and/or to complete patient satisfaction questionnaires. These videos and assessments will always remain confidential and are strictly used only for the GP registrar to be assessed by their GP trainer.
