How to request an appointment
You can request an appointment with a doctor or clinician by using our Get Help for any health problem form. Your request will be assessed by a GP and assigned to the best person to help you with your concern.
Please ensure you check your emails, as well as your junk emails, regularly for our response.
If clinically appropriate, an urgent same day appointment will be offered. The time saved by the doctor resolving a proportion of the problems via a phone conversation enables more time to be spent seeing patients with more complex and serious problems.
We will respond to requests within 2 working days.
You can also:
- Visit the practice to complete a request form which will be triaged by a GP alongside the online requests.
- Phone us on 020 8399 2280 if your request is urgent and cannot wait until the following day
Double appointments
Appointments are for 15 minutes but if you have several matters to discuss please make a double appointment. Please ask the receptionist to make the appointment with the doctor you would prefer to see. If possible please see the same doctor during the course of the same illness.
Phone consultations
We also provide phone consultations with a doctor or nurse where appropriate. Many problems will be satisfactorily resolved without the need to attend the surgery and see a GP face to face. Instead they can be dealt with by a phone consultation with a GP who will offer appropriate advice and/or a prescription, saving an unnecessary visit.
Please note that not all staff work five days a week so please specify if it is a particular doctor that you wish to speak to. Wherever possible please supply us with a land line telephone number to call you back on.
Please also remember to tell us if you change your address or phone number so that we can keep our records up to date. You can update your details online by completing the change personal details form.
Enhanced access
On weekdays between 6:30pm and 8pm you can both consult and see a local GP who has full access to your notes, these appointments are booked through your GP practice.
On Saturdays between 8am and 5pm you can book an appointment by ringing 020 3841 9942. Please note, these appointments will be at either Claremont Medical Centre or Merrit Gardens in Chessington.
