See below what some patient’s had to say about the programme:
“I learnt about the Get Active as a result of discovering I have osteoarthritis in my knees. My GP suggested doing some strengthening exercises and joining was an excellent decision. An instructor devised and supervised a regime of effective and very enjoyable exercises. I came to the gym twice a week and noticed results within the first four sessions. My osteoarthritis will not go away but I feel better and fitter. I am able to climb stairs and even run to catch the bus!” Patricia
After being housebound for a month with a leg brace for my broken knee, the Get Active programme has not only improved my knee strength and got me walking normally but has helped my all round mobility, physical health and fitness. My instructor Neil gave me a programme which has speeded up my recovery and I have now been discharged from Hospital; I am unfortunately back to work 2 months early! I have found that coming to the gym and exercising has given me a buzz and a new zest for life. It’s been a really enjoyable experience” William
