Dr Arun Kochhar – Male
MB ChB (Aberdeen 1992) MRCGP FRCS DRCOG
Dr Arun Kochhar has been a partner at Claremont Medical Centre since January 2001. He trained initially at Aberdeen University and then undertook basic training as a surgeon before obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons. He then saw the light and retrained in General Practice working in local practices as well as an enjoyable 8 month period in rural Australia. Dr Kochhar does seven clinical sessions per week. He is here all day on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday and a Wednesday morning. He has a special interest in ear, nose and throat ailments and minor surgery. He performs minor operations on both our own registered patients as well as those referred to him from other practices across Kingston. He is also a GP Trainer and spends one session a week doing tutorial work with our GP Registrars.
Dr Katie Williams – Female
Bsc. MBBS DRCOG DFFP MRCGP
Dr Katie Williams graduated from St. George’s Hospital Medical School in Tooting in 2000 and completed her GP training by working in most departments of Kingston Hospital. She has since been working locally in Chessington and Surbiton, and joined Claremont Medical Centre in January 2010, becoming a Partner in July 2014. She has three children and enjoys watersports, gardening and food – cooking it, growing it, eating it and reading about it! Dr Williams does six clinical sessions per week, working all day on a Monday, Thursday and Friday. She has particular interests in women’s medicine, family planning and mental health issues. She loves being a GP and is very enthusiastic about her work. She is a GP trainer and enjoys helping new doctors achieve their aspirations.
Dr Frank Hanson – Male
MA (Oxon), MBBS (Lond), MRCP, MRCGP, DRCOG
Dr Frank Hanson trained as a GP Registrar at Claremont in 2010 and stayed on as a salaried doctor, before becoming a partner in 2016. He undertook his preclinical medical training at Oxford University and completed his clinical training at Imperial College London in 2005. Dr Hanson does seven clinical sessions per week, all day on a Monday, Tuesday morning, all day Wednesday and Thursday. He has various clinical interests including diabetes, respiratory medicine and emergency medicine. He is a GP trainer, overseeing trainee GPs during their 6 and 12 month placements at Claremont. Outside of work he is a keen sportsman, enjoying distance running, football, rugby and table tennis. He is an enthusiastic supporter of Wimbledon and Liverpool football clubs.
Dr Emily Kelly – Female
BSc MB ChB MRCPCH MRCGP
Dr Emily Kelly first came to work at Claremont Medical Centre as a GP Registrar in August 2009. Having taken a degree in psychology before going on to train as a doctor, she joined the team as a Salaried GP here, working 4 sessions a week, Tuesday and Thursday morning and all day on a Friday. Dr Kelly retains a special interest in Paediatrics.In her spare time she enjoys art, DIY and being a mum to her children.
Dr Rachel Harrington – Female
MBChB MRCGP BSC
Dr Harrington graduated from Bristol in 2008 and after a short stint in London she spent 2 years as a junior doctor in New Zealand. She returned to undertake her GP training and graduated in 2015. She joined the surgery in Jan 2016 as a salaried GP and works on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.Outside the surgery she enjoys music, running and is kept busy looking after her 2 young children.
Dr Bandna Ratti – Female
MBChB DCH, DRCOG, MRCGP
Dr Ratti qualified as a doctor in Liverpool in 1993. Since then she has worked in a diverse range of areas both in Australia and in the UK, including General Practice, Research and as a GP in Accident & Emergency. She is passionate about General Practice and has a special interest in paediatrics and gynaecology. Dr Ratti works here as a Salaried GP two sessions on a Wednesday and one session on a Thursday. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog Kiki, exercising, reading and designing interiors.
Dr Branka Polomcic – Female
MBBS MRCGP DFSRH
Dr Polomcic graduated at the Medical University of Novi Sad in Serbia. She lived in New Zealand for a few years, before moving to the UK where she completed her GP training while raising her children. She’s been at Claremont Medical Centre since 2014.Her special interests include sexual and reproductive health, women’s health, diabetes, and mental health. She is passionate about her GP work and is in practice all day on a Tuesday and Friday, and Thursday afternoons. She enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and friends, walking her dogs, travelling and theatre.
Dr Amy Charleston – Female
MBChB BSc(Hons) RCCP
Dr Charleston studied at Liverpool Medical School and completed a degree in Medical Education at Barts. She has been a practicing clinician since 2015 and completed her foundation training at Ashford & St. Peters. She has enjoyed 3 years training locally as a GP in Hampton and Twickenham, however she has recently moved locally to be near family and friends and has joined the team at Claremont.
Her hobbies include long distance running and spending time with her young family.
